St Thomas Cruise Port Guide Things To Do

havensight cruise pier

This beach has plenty of food, drinks, shade and snorkeling and diving spots all amongst soft sand and calm waves. Havensight Cruise Pier specifically has a large shopping mall and restaurants, while Crown Bay Dock has a small shopping mall and a welcome center. Charlotte Amalie, the capital city, is bursting with restaurants, bars, cafes and landmarks to visit. Havensight Cruise Pier and the Crown Bay Dock are a seven-minute drive and a 10-minute drive respectively from the capital. If all you are looking for is liquor, spirits, fragrances, tobacco, gifts or souvenirs the cruise ship passenger doesn't really need to go all the way to Charlotte Amalie for a shopping spree.

Hitting the Beach Is One of the Best Things to Do in St. Thomas

It’s about 10 miles from Havensight and roughly 8 miles from Crown Bay, so you’ll need to take a taxi. This Danish fort is one of the island’s most iconic historical landmarks. Not only is it the oldest standing structure on St. Thomas, but it also functions as a museum that showcases the unique history of the entire island. Roughly two miles from either cruise port, you can get there in less than ten minutes via taxi. Unfortunately, neither of the two ports offers complimentary public Wi-Fi, but it’s not too difficult to find.

St. Thomas Cruise Port: Amenities, Location, What's Nearby & More

Having taken over 10 cruises (and all of them in the Caribbean), I’ve gone to St. Thomas more times than I can recall. Magens Bay features a well-protected white sand beach stretching for nearly three quarters of a mile. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations on the island, as well as a gathering place for locals. As our journey through the wondrous realms of St. Thomas comes to a close, it’s essential to take a moment to reflect on the tapestry of experiences the island offers. St. Thomas isn’t just a destination; it’s a feeling, a vibrant dance of history, nature, culture, and adventure, all set against the backdrop of cerulean waters and golden sands.

Havensight cruise terminal

Magen’s Bay is also known for its water sports, including paddle boarding and kayaking. If a lazy swim is right up your alley, make sure you swim out a little bit -- the area is home to sea turtles that tend to stay away from the shallowest waters and the crowds. With its white sand and good services, Magen’s Bay is the perfect spot for a relaxing day in the sun. Waters are clear and calm enough for families with young children, and there is a large shaded area with picnic tables and bathrooms. If you need a break from the sun and want to refuel, you can get a bite at the beach bar located on the eastern end of the bay. Just make sure you book your excursions through your cruise line, as these excursion providers have been vetted and will be aware of arrival and departure times for your ship.

Beach Bars & Oceanfront Lounges

If you’ve dreamed of swimming with turtles (me!), consider this St. Thomas snorkeling excursion. St. Thomas is a bit of a shopper’s paradise; shops include jewelry and gemstones, liqueur and spirits, clothing boutiques and souvenir shops. This has been a favorite shore excursion for many cruisers over the years for taking Instaworthy photos of the stunning harbor. Plus, there’s a gift shop, restaurant and bar where you may want to stop for a famous Bailey’s Bushwacker.

Coki Point Beach

In fact, it was once used as a United States naval base but has since been remodeled to accommodate three full-sized cruise ships along the same single-pier design found at Havensight Pier. If you are travelling to St. Thomas during hurricane season, you might be interested in learning how cruise ships can make changes to provide a safer journey for passengers. Your cruise ship will of course offer their “guaranteed” shopping guide. Whether you want to buy liquor or jewelry or simple souvenirs, you’ll find everything you need in the shops along these narrow alleyways.

Taxi Fares from Havensight Dock

Don’t forget to grab a souvenir in their gift shop on the way out. You can even buy old coins found on one of the many nearby shipwrecks plus other pirate memorabilia. Not many people know Airbnb isn’t just for finding a place to stay for the night.

There is a restaurant, a bar, and some souvenir shops at the top. Shore excursions can be an excellent way to see the island’s highlights, as is to explore independently. Taxis are readily available everywhere you go, and since the island is just 13 miles long, you can get anywhere within 25 minutes from the St. Thomas cruise port. For those looking to enjoy more of the island’s natural side, there is also the Skyride to Paradise Point, just a five-minute walk from the Havensight Pier. This gondola is one of the most popular attractions in the Caribbean, as it quickly takes passengers 700 feet above the port, enjoying stunning views and even a fully stocked bar!

New Cruise Ship Reports Gastrointestinal Outbreak

One of the most visited attractions in the Virgin Islands, you can enjoy snorkeling and scuba diving lessons with dolphins, sea lions, sea turtles, stingrays, and other marine wildlife. Although it is on the other side of the island, it’s only about nine miles from the two ports, so a 20 to 30-minute taxi ride would get you there. This colorful city features colonial architecture as well as modern stores and restaurants. Make sure you visit the historic district packed with 17th-century churches and other buildings.

St John is known as a great snorkeling and diving spot and has breathtaking beaches, among which Trunk Bay and Honeymoon Beach are the most popular ones. If you are familiar with St. Thomas, I suggest taking a scenic ferry ride over to St. John, the smallest of the three Virgin Islands located four miles east of St. Thomas. The island boasts incredible nature and a large part of it is covered by a nature reserve. The admission fee to the park includes a souvenir map, access to the undersea observatory tower, and unlimited access to the park and beach.

Many tours include a stop at Mountain Top, but if you decide to come on your own, a taxi is the best option. The largest duty-free jewelers in the Caribbean, Diamonds International has 3 locations in Charlotte Amalie and is impossible to miss. It has a very large selection of diamonds, offering the possibility of upgrades, but also many other gemstones. The cruise traveler can select a stone, choose a mounting and pick it up before sailing.

Wheelchair ramps also ensure curbs and other obstacles do not interfere with accessibility. With both ports located such a convenient distance from a major airport, you shouldn’t have difficulty finding your way to your ship if you fly into St. Thomas. Megan’s Bay beach is so blue that it looks like a beach has been photo-shopped into reality.

Carnival Celebration September 24, 2023 Cruise Map & Port Info

carnival cruise september 2023

Since touring Carnival Mardi Gras (sister ship to Celebration) we were so impressed that we knew we needed to check her out for a proper cruise. I promise, these new Excel Class ships are NOTHING like you've ever seen (from Carnival or anyone else). Celebration and her sister aren't just the largest ships Carnival offers, but they have some truly innovative and wonderful features.

Mardi Gras

Cruise ships are also including more and more amenities, like amusement-style rides, water parks, and sports facilities, to better compete for traveler's dollars. Carnival has been benefiting from a resurgence in demand for cruises following the effective industry shutdown during the early days of the coronavirus pandemic. But that demand isn't just coming from existing cruisers -- there's a whole new contingent of people who are experiencing cruising for the very first time.

BIG PLANS FORBUILDING FUN

At $369 for an interior cabin, that comes out to just about $50 per person, per day to sail on what is a great itinerary. From there you’ll have stops in San Juan, Amber Cove (Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic), and Grand Turk, along with some time at sea just to relax and enjoy the sunshine. When it comes to cruises, trips to Alaska should be a bucket-list item.

Search and you shall (hopefully) find!

The cruise will take you south to Nassau and Princess Cays for literally the price of visiting a nice steakhouse for two. A great deal on a fall cruise is this trip that departs Port Canaveral in mid-October. Depart from the Orlando area and you’ll have stops at Half Moon Cay (Carnival’s private destination), Grand Turk, and Amber Cove. If you want to sail the nicest, newest ships then you normally have to pony up some cash. As a rule of thumb, newer ships have higher price tags to sail.

There are only so many potential customers, and only so many rooms on Carnival's cruise ships to accommodate them. At some point, 50% new-to-cruise customers growth just isn't sustainable. In fact, if the new-to-cruise guest count leveled off at fourth-quarter 2023's high rate for all of 2024, 2024 fourth-quarter growth in new-to-cruise guests would be zero on a percentage basis. Meanwhile, if there were a decline in the number, the growth rate in new-to-cruise customers would be negative, even though it would still be at a high rate. To be fair, Disney offers discounts for buying multi-day passes, but with rates like that, you can see why consumers are increasingly looking to cruises. An entire cruise could cost $600 (or less) per person, and includes the cruise, food, and a room.

And while the price isn’t as cheap as the lowest fares of 2024, it’s still a strong deal. If you’re wanting a deal on a vacation this year, then check out this 7-day cruise from Los Angeles (technically Carnival sails from Long Beach). The cruise aboard Carnival Panorama is for seven nights and takes you to all the hotspots on the Pacific side of Mexico. Sail When Kids Are in SchoolBelow, you may notice that many of the best deals sail in the fall. If you search, you’ll find that there’s a correlation between cruise prices and the school year. Sail during the summer, Christmas holidays, or Spring Break, and fares will be higher than sailing times like the fall or winter.

Grand Central

On this 8 Night Southern Caribbean sailing, the ship will visit a total of 5 different cruise port destinations, including its departure port. The Carnival Horizon sets sail on a Saturday (September 2, 2023) and returns on a Sunday (September 10, 2023). The September 17, 2023 cruise on the Carnival Celebration departs from Miami, Florida. The Carnival Celebration sets sail on a Sunday (September 17, 2023) and returns on a Sunday (September 24, 2023). Some redesigned spaces will include new furnishings and nautical accents in the Commodore Room, the ship’s main dining room, which also is featured onboard sister ships Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva.

Miami

The September 24, 2023 cruise on the Carnival Celebration departs from Miami, Florida. On this 7 Night Eastern Caribbean sailing, the ship will visit a total of 4 different cruise port destinations, including its departure port. The Carnival Celebration sets sail on a Sunday (September 24, 2023) and returns on a Sunday (October 1, 2023). The September 2, 2023 cruise on the Carnival Horizon departs from Miami, Florida.

Carnival Cruise Line offers a variety of cruises from Miami in September 2023. Cruises departing from Miami in September are at their lowest prices due to the peak of hurricane season in the Bahamas and Caribbean. During this period, hurricanes are most likely to make landfall around the Dominican Republic's eastern coast, the US Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico. A hurricane making landfall on any of the southern Caribbean islands, including Grenada, Tobago, Barbados, St. Lucia, Anguilla, and Antigua, is extremely rare. Temperatures in September remain around 88 degrees Fahrenheit, and the stifling heat of summer persists. The average temperature of the ocean is 83 degrees Fahrenheit, making this the ideal time of year for many to go snorkeling or scuba diving.

Given the remoteness and size of this part of the country, a cruise offers the best way to see the most in a relatively short period of time. However, these cruises are usually more expensive than similar length Caribbean trips. From there, you’ll head to the Far East, crossing the international date line before three more ports of call in Japan. This includes Kushiro in the northern part of the country and Aomori, followed by Yokohama, just outside of Tokyo. The trip itself is as basic as it gets, going from Miami to Nassau and back. Still, if you want to take a cruise and not spend a lot of money, this is one of your best options.

Discover the best of Florida, At Sea, Dutch Caribbean, Dominican Republic on this Southern Caribbean cruise from Miami on board Carnival Horizon cruise ship. Visit amazing Miami, Aruba, Curacao, La Romana, Amber Cove, Miami. Carnival Horizon leaving Miami, Florida for 8 days from September 30, 2023. The fortress of El Morro guards the harbor against long-gone Sir Francis Drake and his British privateers. The colorful streets of Old San Juan retain the Latin flavor of its seafaring past, when this was the heart of the Spanish Main. Sample the fiery rum made here, or indulge in an icy treat made from fresh tropical fruit and enjoy the Caribbean atmosphere.

Enjoy selections like seafood bisque and crab-stuffed lobster tail imperial — all served with an elegant flair that pays proper tribute to the beauty of the ocean from which so much fun, and flavor, arises. Think about the fruity Hurricane cocktail or the stately Sazerac — for ages now, these hometown heroes have been ambassadors for New Orleans ‘credo of fun, flavor and just plain good times. So of course we’ll be serving up classics like these at The Brass Magnolia!

Viking Antarctica Cruises: A Complete Guide for Adventurers

viking antarctic cruise

All excursions are included on Viking expedition trips — landings, Zodiac rides, kayaking, Special Operations Boat trips (a sort of high-speed, high-capacity jet ski that lets guests traverse more area in a short period of time) and, yes, even submarine rides. However, they are all first-come, first-served, and spots on the sub can be difficult to snag. Whenever disembarking — often from a Zodiac to wet and slippery shores — was particularly challenging, the staff lined up along the path to offer a helping hand to visitors every 10 feet or so to ensure no one ever took a tumble. Given Viking’s mostly mature yet mobile demographic, this was most welcome, and even as a millennial, I appreciated the extra effort that was always made on our behalf.

Viking provides guests with a suggested packing list before the cruise. The packing list below includes recommendations from my two friends based on their recent Viking Antarctica cruises. Inside, each ship has a fitness center; a hair salon; an extensive spa with a steam room, a snow grotto, a sauna; and several pools. In addition, there are various common spaces, including a well-curated library, the Living Room, the Hide, and the Explorers’ Lounge. We are pleased to partner with the iconic London bookshop Heywood Hill in the creation of our onboard libraries and Expeditions Recommended Reading lists. Chairman Nicky Dunne explains the history of this literary institution and the value of reading carefully selected books before embarking on your journey.

Celebrate an unforgettable holiday season on this ultimate adventure that features two additional days of discovery on the Antarctic peninsula. Witness towering glaciers, snow-covered landscapes, massive icebergs and once-in-a-lifetime wildlife viewing. In the footsteps of explorers such as Amundsen, Shackleton and Scott, you will be one of the few to discover the world’s last truly wild frontier. Each day brings new surprises and the opportunity to change plans to maximize wildlife sightings and adapt to ever-changing weather.

An additional three pools at the Aquavit Terrace are set at various temperatures for all preferences. On the occasional clear and dry day, the ship hosted alfresco barbecue lunches on the sun deck — and what Viking served here were none other than complimentary porterhouse steaks, lobster tails and one-pound burgers.

The cruise ship fuel surcharge is additional revenue to Viking Cruises, as are any additional charges relating to currency fluctuation other than for fully paid cruise fares and full fares, which fluctuations are beyond our control. Complete terms and conditions may be found in the Passenger Ticket Contract. My two friends, Ingrid and Irene, take several major trips yearly and treasure wonderful memories of their time exploring Europe, Asia, North America, and South America.

The 13-day “Antarctic Explorer” itinerary is bookended by more than a day of sailing the Drake Passage, notoriously known for its rough seas. We lucked out with moderate conditions — not quite the “Drake Lake,” but not the “Drake Shake,” either — both going and returning. Our captain was so conscientious of ensuring a comfortable ride that he made the decision to depart the continent a day early to avoid a weather system other cruise ships chanced — a decision fellow seasickness-prone passengers applauded. So far this cruise, the topics have been more focused on relatable topics, like Maps of Antarctica; Penguins, Whales and Mammals, as opposed to 5 Kinds of Krill.

Discover the nature of the Fuegian Andes; cruise the Beagle Channel in search of wildlife. Sail the icy waters of the Drake Passage, keeping watch for seabirds, whales and icebergs. Explore the “Last Continent,” teeming with penguins, seals, whales and other wildlife.

Viking Expeditions Antarctica Cruise Reviews

Viking has been voted the world’s #1 for both rivers and oceans by Travel + Leisure as well as CondĂ© Nast Traveler. Our 2022 national television commercial, “Onwards,” celebrates these prestigious awards. Finally, this cruise has been one of the most upbeat and fun Viking trips I've been on. While the line has always eschewed fancy dress clothes, here you spend most of the day in athleisure wear. I always describe Viking as PBS at sea, so it was almost shocking to see the ship and crew lean into the NFL playoffs.

If so, one of Viking’s Antarctica-bound cruises should be on your travel wish list. Two good friends, both world travelers and frequent cruisers, recently returned from Viking cruises to Antarctica. This article explores what a Viking cruise to Antarctica is like – the ship and excursions – plus tips to get the most out of the experience. Viking has created the world’s leading scientific enrichment environment in an expedition setting with the help of prestigious academic institutions.

Fewer landings might sound like a drawback when you're planning your trip. But when you are actually in Antarctica and facing the prospect of donning multiple layers to go out into the snow on a Zodiac, the less frantic pace can be delightful. By Day 4 of our exploration time, fewer passengers were showing up for the Zodiac cruises. The windy conditions and driving sleet proved to be a deterrent to many people, who would rather stay warm with a leisurely breakfast. The company, under the leadership of Chairman Torstein Hagen, started out by modernizing river cruising. Viking then took on ocean sailings with a remarkably well-designed series of 930-passenger ships, meant to appeal to a more intellectual type of traveler who still wants plenty of amenities.

We invite you to reawaken your spirit of discovery and celebrate our return to sailing. On January 15, 2020, Chairman Torstein Hagen provided an update on our river and ocean cruise business before officially unveiling the details of Viking Expeditions and our new journeys to the ends of the earth and closer to home. Hagen recently sat down with award-winning British photographer Alastair Miller for an exclusive conversation about his journey to the “White Continent” on board the Viking Polaris. They also discuss the intriguing story about how Hagen’s lifelong passion for travel and interest in far-flung destinations began during his childhood, when he sent a letter to Ushuaia from his home in Norway.

7 Best Norway Cruise Journeys : Nordic Visitor

norway cruise line

But your experience will be quite different depending on when you choose to go. A great option if you’re hoping to explore Norway’s west coast is a voyage north from Bergen to Molde. Norway’s western city of Bergen is known as the “Gateway to Norway’s Fjords” – and you won’t need to guess why. With Hardangerfjord to the south and the entrance to Sognefjord not far north, this ancient city is the perfect base for the best Norway cruises. The harbour city of Kristiansund is a great place to try the Norwegian delicacy, klippfisk, which is dried and salted cod. Or take a wildlife tour and hop across the islands in search of the elusive sea eagle.

Why travel with us?

Plus, given Norway's notoriously finicky weather, there's no guarantee that rain won't set in before the ship departs. Norway cruise itineraries depart from a variety of cities, though most begin in Bergen or Oslo. Other popular departure cities are found across northern Europe, including Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Hamburg and a variety of U.K. June through August is the best time for a Norway cruise, but voyages begin in May and run into September. In general, Norway weather is the best in the summer months, with temperatures that are warm (and occasionally hot). Average daytime temperatures in Norway reach into the 60s and 70s and rain is less frequent than in the wet winter months.

Planning for the future

The key, depending on your tastes, is getting on the right ship in the fleet. In the meantime, here is some general packing advice for such a trip. However, many potential cruisers might be unaware of recent developments regarding cruising these waters. Alternatively, take a wildlife tour into Trollfjord, whose entrance at 100 metres (328 feet) is even narrower than the Panama Canal. Seals, porpoises, and even whales may greet you in this Arctic oasis. Of course, you can enjoy unforgettable experiences off the boat too.

Pros and cons of a Norwegian fjords cruise

On a Norway cruise with Celebrity Cruises, you’ll discover the best of Norway while enjoying the comforts of our luxury cruise ship. Celebrity’s impeccable service and world-class dining will elevate your vacation to new heights. Spend your days at sea exploring innovative onboard venues, splashing in the pool, or indulging in a relaxing spa treatment. On a Norway cruise, you’ll visit the picturesque town of Alesund, frequently cited as one of the country’s most beautiful places to visit.

Skip winter and check into brighter days, warm turquoise waters and tangerine sunsets on a Caribbean cruise. We’ve added longer itineraries in addition to our shorter cruises— giving you more time to immerse in port and to soak up all the fun in the sun on shore. At sea, you’ll be island hopping in style on our award-winning fleet. In general, Norwegian's newer ships including Norwegian Viva, Norwegian Prima and the Breakaway-class and Breakaway Plus-class vessels will be more expensive than the line's older, smaller ships. Norwegian designs its ships to appeal to a broad mix of people, in part by offering a wide range of cabin types at varying price points. On a typical sailing, you might find an entry-level cabin for around $100 a night while a high-end suite is five to 15 times that amount.

At their core, Norwegian ships are mass-market ships, with entry-level cabins that are affordable to middle-class travelers. However, overlaid across most vessels are high-end suites and services that are at a luxury level, and the line draws a good number of luxury-seeking travelers. Norwegian vessels also offer lots of options for daytime fun but are particularly well known for evening entertainment. You'll find everything from music halls with Beatles cover bands and dueling piano bars to theaters with some of the most elaborate shows at sea — including some big-name Broadway productions.

Whether you prefer the action-packed ships of Royal Caribbean or MSC, or the smaller ships that can sail along narrower fjords, there will be a Norwegian fjords itinerary for you. One such trip is this 12-night itinerary from Celebrity Cruises, which includes a visit to both Visby and Tallinn. Other highlights include a visit to Stockholm and Copenhagen, including an overnight stop in the latter.

Or visit Honningsvag for a glimpse of the Midnight Sun during your evening departure. While we can’t guarantee you’ll see these natural phenomena, we can promise that the journey is just as exciting as the wonders themselves. In Grundarfjördur, marvel at the seascapes, fjords and tidal currents within Breidafjordur Bay. Rejuvenate in the mineral-rich waters of the Blue Lagoon in Reykjavik. Or fly over Godafoss Waterfall, the ‘Waterfall of the Gods,’ during a flightseeing tour in Akureyri. Come face-to-face with Mother Nature’s crown jewels — only on an Norway and Iceland cruise with Princess.

Despite their latitude, Norway's fjords have a mild climate due to the Gulf Stream. The waters are rich with fish, porpoises and seals due to the lack of ice. Waterfalls are an impressive feature, and from Pulpit Rock you can see over the Lysefjord from over 600 metres above. Found well within the Arctic Circle, these Norwegian islands are home to soaring mountain peaks, charming fishing villages and exciting Viking history.

Are You Ready to Book Your Disney European Cruise?

MediterraneanThe Mediterranean is a region of unparalleled beauty and cultural richness, and Disney Cruise Line’s itineraries allow you to explore it all. For example, you can visit the sun-soaked beaches of the French Riviera, explore the ancient ruins of Rome, or discover the picturesque towns of the Amalfi Coast. Other destinations include the vibrant city of Barcelona, Spain, and the stunning islands of Greece. Are you ready to experience the wonders of Europe with Disney Cruise Line®?

The adults-only tours often move at a faster pace, so pack your walking shoes if you plan to do a heavy day of sightseeing, especially in cities like Rome or Athens. The Disney Dream cruise ship is the exclusive vessel for Disney cruises in Europe in 2024, providing passengers with a magical experience while sailing the seas. The ship has a capacity of 2,500 (double occupancy) or a maximum of 4,000 passengers, with a crew of 1,458. It stretches 1,114 ft in length, has a gross tonnage of 83,000, and it has been in Disney’s fleet since 2011.

Travelers can bookend cruises with Adventures by Disney short escapes

As you can see, those who have not cruised with Disney before had to wait until May 9th for booking to open to them. The pattern does seem to be changing and perhaps it is not quite so crucial to book early as it used to be. In previous years this has always been the Disney Magic, but the larger Disney Dream will be sailing on a number of different itineraries from May to September 2023. Lastly, itineraries can change based on rising and falling water levels. Ships always anticipate the possibility of a wrinkle in the plan and often have alternate options available, but it may not be exactly what you and your crew expected from start to finish if weather woes get in the way.

About the Disney Dream Cruise Ship for Sailings in Europe

The ship provides a wide range of onboard activities suitable for passengers of all ages, such as digital sports simulators, a mini-golf course, pools, a water roller coaster, a basketball court, and two theaters. There are also clubs and various activities on a Disney cruise specifically for kids, including Disney’s It’s a Small World Nursery, Oceaneer Club, Oceaneer Lab, Edge, Goofy’s Sports Deck, and Vibe. The Rhine is known for its ample castles, which might delight some in your brood. No matter where in Europe you sail, there are often opportunities for biking on shore for more active families. Additionally, some family cruises will do a deep dive into the Sound of Music during a day trip to Salzburg, Austria (where many scenes of the movie were shot) during Danube cruises, for fans of the iconic musical. Christmas market cruises are another option for families who are feeling festive.

The cost of a Disney cruise will increase as the number of passengers in a stateroom increases (beyond two). Additionally, choosing a more-premium type of stateroom can significantly increase the price. Prices for this Disney Dream cruise have not changed from opening day to May 11, 2022. The already high starting cost is now a whopping $52,029 if you want to sail Concierge. I left in my prediction from before that prices would rise from opening day. Prices are still around the same as they were on opening day, with the glaring exception of Concierge Staterooms.

You will dine at each restaurant at least once during your cruise and you will rotate to a different one each night. This is a great idea as your serving team get to know you and will ensure that you have the very best experience. A big part of your Disney cruise experience will be your dining experience. Here we will look at the European sailings for 2021 and learn what you can expect from a Disney Cruise on the amazing Disney Magic. For more information on any of the sailings above, please fill out our form below for your FREE, no-obligation quote from MickeyTravels. Sorry, but to create your cruise package you'll need to speak to our Disney Experts.

Even better, playtime in Disney Dream's four youth activity spaces is included in the overall cost of the sailing. Disney's Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab are dedicated spaces for kids ages 3 to 12, where they can play games, do crafts or hang out with a good book while under the supervision of the counselors. Disney’s key selling point is the all-inclusive nature of its cruises, with most dining options, activities, entertainment, and services included in the price of a Disney cruise. This extends to meet-and-greets with Disney characters, Broadway-style shows, movie screenings, water activities, and the fitness center. Additionally, several kids’ clubs offer complimentary activities for children and teens. Overall, the Disney Dream is one of the best Disney cruise ships, delivering a genuinely enchanting experience to guests on their European cruise.

Check the itineraries at the top of this page to find a cruise visiting your desired port. Every summer Disney Cruise Line sails one of its ships to Europe for one of the most special sets of itineraries available. Disney Cruise Line separates their European itineraries into Northern Europe and Mediterranean itineraries. My family was able to experience the unique 7-night repositioning cruise that connected these guest experiences.

Discover Europe’s cultural richness and natural splendors with Disney on a magical voyage through Europe. From the captivating Northern and Western European regions to the sun-drenched Mediterranean, each port of call offers a unique and unforgettable experience. The following is an representative sample of Disney’s European cruise ports of call, arranged alphabetically by country.

All of these countries were new to our family so we took advantage of the tours to see all we could while we were in port. Le Havre is located in northern France and about a 2 ½ to 3-hour drive from Paris. With a 16 hour stopover, there was plenty of time to take an adventure into Paris and see the main sights of the city. Lisbon’s city tour showed us how important the city and its inhabitants were to navigation of the oceans and the discovery of the new world. Cadiz’s town square, just steps from the dock, allowed us a walking tour of the city that dates from the time of the Phoenicians, about 1100 BC. Another amazing sight was seeing Africa as we sailed through the Strait of Gibraltar late one evening.

Flo's also has sandwich specials that change daily, including tasty options like spicy fried chicken and pulled pork. Some images shown through out this website do not represent current operational guidelines or health and safety measures such as face covering and physical distancing requirements. Read important information about your key rights and financial protection relating to your package.

We started in Dover, England and ended in Barcelona, Spain and it was a vacation we will never forget and recommend to all interested in visiting Europe with their family. Here are a few cruise lines that offer family-friendly river cruises with room configurations, public spaces, on-board services and amenities, and excursions and programming designed with families in mind. Disney Cruise Line and Adventures by Disney vary from other cruise lines in that they rarely offer last-minute or seasonal discounts.

Reflection's martini bar might be the most popular spot on the ship -- for good reason. Sit at the bar with a couple of friends and order two martini flights, then watch (and make a video of) the bartenders as they put on a bottle-twirling show you won't forget. Visit before the crowds do -- it fills up about an hour before dinner -- to ensure the bartenders have time for the theatrics, and tip well. Accompanied by the calming strains of new age music, enjoy the warmth of a relaxing steam or treat your skin to the solitude found in a private sauna.

Is Celebrity Reflection a good ship to cruise on?

A welcoming and unique onboard environment, you'll discover new wines, receive recommendations and enrich your knowledge of the world of wine. While at max capacity the ship can hold up to 3,609 passengers, Reflection rarely feels crowded, as passengers tend to find their own spaces to hang out in. It's also well designed, and favorite spots like the excellent thermal spa are capacity controlled.
